Chunkurchak Snow & Hot Springs - Day Trip
A winter day in Chunkurchak Gorge, about an hour from Bishkek. We see the frozen Pigeon Waterfall and the Sky Bridge, then spend the middle of the day at the Chunkurchak ski resort. Ski or snowboard on gentle beginner slopes, ride the cable car, go tubing or take a short ride in the snowy forest. We end the day in a natural hot spring. Fun for all ages.

Day-by-day itinerary
Tap any day to expand. Every itinerary can be tailored to your dates, pace and fitness.
Your guide meets you at your hotel and goes over the plan as we drive out of Bishkek toward the mountains. If you want to ski or snowboard, we stop at a rental shop on the way and your guide helps you pick the right gear.
The first stop is the frozen Pigeon Waterfall, a wall of blue ice among snowy cliffs. A short walk away is the Sky Bridge, strung between two cliffs above the white valley. Your guide shows the best viewpoints and helps with photos.
Next is the Chunkurchak ski resort, known for gentle slopes where beginners feel at home. Your guide sorts out lift passes, gear and an instructor if you want a lesson. Ski, snowboard, ride the cable car, go tubing or try the balloon sleds. Prefer it quiet? Take a short horse ride through the snowy forest or warm up in a café. We break for a hot lunch at the resort.
On the way back we stop at a natural hot spring. You sit in warm mineral water with snow all around. Dinner here is possible if you like. Then we drive back to Bishkek and drop you at your hotel.
